Midnight Pub

Sunday Ramble

~mouse

Spoiler: Nothing to do with walks in the country.

Evening Barkeep, a large mug of hot tea, and two teaspoons of heaped sugar.

The Downside

I am finding it hard to cope with my anxiety. Two many triggers, both external and internal. The day job makes avoiding news near impossible. At least the local rock music station seems to play the same adverts just before the top of the hour news slot, so I can switch off and go get a cuppa. Or go make room for another.

Admitting it to She Who Must Be Obeyed helped. It felt cowardly sharing a negative that I ought to keep to myself. She at least understands. I feel selfish, my woes are imaginary, not real as they are for others.

Funny how we see things stripped bare of pretence, what's really important. Our own folly.

I had considered learning Frank Herbert's 'Litany of Fear' to recite mentally whenever I found myself heading down that rabbit hole. Seemed counter productive. Oh I dunno. (Reciting PI ?)

On the up...

I am told admitting or realising that you have a problem is a good first step.

At least I now have a **vague** idea what gemini is.

Looking at a heap of plain and simple websites not written for SEO has given me some ideas for my own blog elsewhere.

My boss is away next week, which means I might get some stuff done. Or the complete opposite.

Thank you

Thank you for the company.

~bartender, a drink for anyone still awake! And some pizza at the back door for Tiddles.

You all have a good and safe one.

If you have friends your own age you can hang out with-preferably people who don't judge you- it might help you with your anxiety.

Nos da, ~mouse! Diolch (thanks) for hanging out here and sharing... anxiety is indeed a hard one, and seemingly ever-present My SO also suffers from it and I have come to realize that I'm more prone to it than I ever wanted to admit before as well.

I hold to the old cliche that "a burden shared is lessened, and a joy shared is multiplied."

On other topics, I'm glad that you're learning more about Gemini. Exploring around geminispace has made me realize that I was missing real substantiative content from my web browsing, and also has made me get (more) interested in self-hosting and related techy topics...

~bartender, I think I hear Tiddles growling back there, but I can't tell if it's because the pizza didn't go down well or because it wants more...

Hwyl am rwan! (Bye for now)
