Hello world!
This is going to be a kind of journal, not really written with public consumption in mind (I'd be surprised if anyone but me is reading this) but if you ARE reading this, hello! Please don't expect anything well written here, it's just stream-of-consciousness, haha. Why on gemini? I don't know, it's like writing graffiti on Roman walls, or a note in a book you found in a second hand store. I like gemini because it's a little hidden, but not for security purposes. Just out of the way. And I like that it's mostly text. :)
I've made a few attempts at journalling before and never stuck at it. Recently my life has been changing rapidly and I figure journalling is a decent way to work through some of my thoughts.
For context I'm a woman in my late 20s. I'm about to start a new job and recently ended both a long running job I liked very much but paid much less, and a volunteer role I enjoyed. I'm also moving to a new city.
I'm in a long distance relationship with a man I love very much who lives in a different country. This evening, he flew home after a few weeks at my place, and I miss him terribly. We have serious long term plans and a pretty solid timescale in which we're going to do them but until then work and study commitments keep us to schedules where we have to hop on a plane regularly for visits.
Sighhhh.
I miss him so much! He's my first real long term partner (hopefully the only I'll ever need) and I miss his physical presence and comfort. I discovered I'm a real koala when I sleep, I just want to cling. The bed is empty! And now I won't see him for like, a month and a half, and I'll have started my new job by then.
Oh well, at least it's more money in the bank to work toward my long term goals.
