I put out a quick update for RocketCaster that I've been wanting for a while, which is proxying episodes over gemini. No more having to open another program to get an episode!

Lagrange’s audio player doesn’t support moving the play position backward or forward. It just does simple play/pause. However, it can start playing an audio file before the full data is downloaded, streaming more data while playing.
I recommend saving the audio into a file and using a more advanced audio player for now. I’m not planning to make huge improvements here in the near future. · 6 months ago
@ruby_witch I noticed that too. I think Lagrange just has trouble determining the length of certain audio files. Some are affected and others aren't. Maybe variable bit rates throw it off? Just a guess. I'll do some more digging to file a proper bug report if it is a bug in Lagrange but I know @skyjake has been busy lately. · 6 months ago
@moddedbear I'm not sure if this is more of an issue with my browser (using Lagrange on Arch) or something that you can do anything about, but with the new ability to play podcasts on gemini I'm not able to skip forward or backward in the podcast while it's playing, which is useful if I missed something and want to go back and re-listen. Any idea if it's possible to implement this in the player? Or is that all client-side? Either way, being able to play through gemini is a *huge* upgrade, thanks again! · 6 months ago

This is a great addition, I love being able to access more content over gemini without having to open anything else! Thanks for your work! · 6 months ago
