As I've made more than painfully clear here, the last many years of school have been rife with suffering, irritation, and uncontrolled rage (on my part), and as such, I had fully intended on skipping "the walk" and letting my last final exam be the end of my relationship with the school.
I've given in to the myriad requests that I make the walk (the most compelling argument being that it's a way to get solid closure on the trauma) and will do so this Friday.
Friday, December 12, 2008 at 2pm in the Dee Events Center I will join a bunch of people I don't know and dress up in a purple robe with a square cardboard hat and give the finger to a near constant source of anxiety and stress.
And six months from now I'll start paying off my student loans.
