The historic Cumber Country House will be the venue for the Spring Food
and Craft Fayre in Claudy village next Saturday, 25th March.
This inclusive community spring celebration of art, food and music will
be held in the historic Cumber House in the picturesque backdrop of
Claudy Country Park.
The fayre is hosted by The Fat Fox Café and part funded by Derry City &
Strabane District Council.
With over 35 local crafters, florists, food producers, bakers and
artists setting up shop both within the main hall and on the grounds of
the stately home, this one day event will be the gem in the rural Derry
Spring calendar.
Dungiven Community Choir will be kicking off the event at 10.30am. The
40 strong female and male choral arrangement will be showcasing their
new repertoire fresh from their Guildhall depute.
Following this The Brady School of Music students will be performing
traditional Irish music in the upper hall. Music will then continue on
throughout the afternoon performed by local musicians and artists.
Live cookery demonstrations, supported by The Fat Fox Café and
facilitated by Health & Wellness Nutritionist Janice Tracey, will take
place later in the afternoon.
Photographer Laura O'Kane will be on site all day, providing Easter
photography shoots for families and little ones.
