Those kinda features just seem inherently malicious to me. At best it's mildly annoying and inconvenient, and it's somebody trying to garner traffic for their site they want to trap people in. At worst, someone is using that as an exploit to keep you in their page running their scripts to invade whatever they can from whoever's client-side.. Stuff like that is what's makin me flee to all this. lol · 8 months ago

Any “feature” that takes control away from the user is not well designed. Text input boxes are sacred and shouldn’t be interrupted; client actions are how the user interacts with the computer, not just arbitrarily choices · 8 months ago

A related minor annoyance in Gemini: "back" links that don't go back, because they don't know where you came from. Back and forward are sacred client behaviours, not site controlled commands. Please. · 8 months ago

You mean the ones designed to trap you into the site so you need to close the tab or browser full stop? Totally agree. · 8 months ago
