Kicou's capsule

This is my space on the Gemini network.

Gemini feels like what the World Wide Web or Gopher were 30 years ago. As the web grew more popular and took over the internet, it also became bloated and is now full of distracting content that makes it more noise than signal.

I feel like Gemini is a return to a calmer space. It is not as popular as the web and probably won't ever, but it is fine: both can co-exist and we can leave the web to the advertisers and personal data harvesters.

Gemini is simple by design. Some won't like its bare bones approach, but its simplicity is on purpose. Gemini is not a replacement for the web.

I don't really know what to expect with Gemini, but I like the fact that for the time being it is not too crowded.
