Feels good to resume my inventory project after a long hiatus. I've identified the bugs in sc-im as a friction point for myself, so I'm working to replace it in my workflow with a collection of shell scripts.

Sounds interesting. I have enjoyed playing with sc-im however, it doesn't seem to work well when there is quoted content. VisiData (https://visidata.org) seems to do a better job however I have not learned the commands yet to make it function well. I have used the human readable database, recfiles (https://www.gnu.org/software/recutils/) for one inventory project which keeps track of all of my computer and networking gear. Another cli ncurses spreadsheet is https://github.com/blippy/neoleo but I have not tried that. · 7 months ago
