waxing poetic
to friends around the fire
of the fire
and its haunting
and welcoming glow
i feel all i do
is al i've ever done
is waxing poetic
in meaningless prose
and they all think i'm trying
to say something specific, but
i don't care for abstraction
my words are not prophetic
all i want to do's
convey divinity to you
because i want to cry
with a soul who wants to cry
the silence of the night
sweetest song i ever heard
i wish i could describe to you
the melancholic feeling
of being silhouetted in
the midst of the unknown
of wandering down shadowed paths
in mist, in the unknown
