was checking books out of the library and mentioned that my name is catherine and the librarian said "catherine? how are you gonna become an lpc with a name like that? there's no way you can fix the opioid crisis with a goofy name like that. the only worse name would be..." (at this point she scanned a book that had "nate" written on the cover which is my bf's name) "...nate!"

had a dream last night that i was an art substitute teacher at my old high school (it's notable that i am currently on my lunch break as an art substitute teacher) and i got tons of paint on me. thankfully im substituting for high schoolers who know that you shouldn't throw paint at the sub.

last night, i dreamt that i missed the final for a class i was taking-- some kind of stem class? it felt hard. i emailed the professor on a phone that looked like a box of mac and cheese and asked if i could take the final online. he said no, showed up to my house, and made me take the final, which looked like a bunch of tough math questions but ended up actually just being washing a sink full of dishes.

i had a dream last night where i couldn't find my mom and she was about to give birth. i think time travel was involved-- she might have been about to give birth to me? it was weird. i very vividly remember asking her if it was a dream, and she said "oh, yes, it's a dream for me too," and we started talking about our different non-dream lives. she wasn't my mother in real life, which was strange. i rubbed her back because she was uncomfortable with being so pregnant, and i accidentally hit a spot that induced labor (?) and she started doing those breathing exercises that pregnant women do. overall a strange experience.
