gmisub updates

Hello! I have some updates regarding gmisub.

First off, there are now 101 feeds being aggregated on my capsule, although quite a few are not active. I'll continue adding more as I find them or they are sent to me. Thank you people who have sent me their feeds, it makes me happy :)

The list of feeds I am aggregating

Probably at some point I'll stop aggregating inactive feeds, but move the links to a 'historical' page rather than just delete them. I don't know what exactly I would count as inactive, but a year since the last post should be safe. It seems a bit silly to be making four requests a day for a page when you know there's not going to be anything new.

Second, I have updated gmisub's source to use the new BearSSL version of gmni. So next time you update you'll need to install BearSSL and update gmni first. Also I remember reading that someone was getting annoyed with the whole TOFU + changing certificates thing and I was too, so that has been fixed for a while. Now gmisub trusts once every time, leaving your client to pick up the certificate change.

Lastly, there are a couple new cool looking feed aggregators that support a range of feed types and protocols.

Gemreader

comitium

I haven't tried them out yet, but if you want to aggregate your own list of feeds they are more featureful and probably easier to set up than gmisub. Drew DeVault is also running a public Gemreader instance which might be a good option if you don't want to run it yourself.
