What Gemini Clinet are people using? (I use Lagrange.)
+ to Lagrange, it's the best
Kristall. Lagrange's AppImage didn't work on my machine (dependency issue with the AppImage) and I didn't want (or failed to?) build it myself.
what distro are you using?
I use Lagrange rn, but I typically prefer amfora
@192: Ubuntu 18.04
why not a newer version or is it just for reliablity.
I don't like the increased integration of snaps in newer versions, as the server software is proprietary. I've been meaning to switch to Suse, but haven't found the time yet.
i use amfora
@200: Why not just uninstall snaps?
I don't wanna have to fight against the distro I'm using. Removing snaps wouldn't be enough, though, as I would have to build all the packages only available as snaps myself. On a side note, I must say that I actually prefer Kristall after toying around with Lagrange (on Windows) for a bit. Kristall acts more like I expect in a browser.
I use Amfora. It's lightweight, and extremely comfy :). Also, why do you guys like Lagrange?
Lagrange is pretty, snappy, has GUI, and is updated quite often. Maybe others have these too, and it's just a habit now. Why do you use Amfora?
>Why do you use Amfora?
You said it in your message, forget it
Amfora - because I can use from anywhere even from a headless system. Also I really like the subscription feature.
I like amfora. It is snappy, has pretty TUI, and runs on almost anything.
lagrange is super comfortable for just surfing
I use lagrange. It seems to be the most polished one. Funnily enough i like smooth scrolling in the gemspace but not on the regular net lol. I've used castor before too but it would randomly freeze up for me sometimes.
