if av98 had curses it'd be perfect I think. I tried to add curses today. I don't know if it's design didn't support it or if my python is so bad .... so I am pondering about building a full feature client in ruby. with curses. and minimal 🤦♀️

@maria you can press TAB and go through all the link to see what each links to... but ok thats a bit tiring :p · 1 year ago
@maria, I'm with you on XML sucking for non-document data storage; there's no reason for bookmarks to be structured. · 1 year ago
@hedy I'll look at gelim later 🙃 · 1 year ago
@ser amfora is horrible to config, I can't see where the links lead to, the bookmarks are xml, it uses tabs instead of tour. that's why I migrated from amfora to av98 🤷 · 1 year ago
As @hedy said, how do existing clients fail? I've been using amfora, but it's not the only curses client. · 1 year ago
@maria interesting, I've never used client certs in av98 but managing them within the clients sounds neat. I'm working on adding certs to my client (github.com/hedyhli/gelim) which may be what you need -- it has utomatic paging, tour. do you find it annoying to hit 'q' everytime to go back to the command line though? I've always wanted to have less in gelim *and* have b/f 0-9 keys for back/forward/links so one doesnt have to press q but that might need a bit more work. · 1 year ago
cert handling is a lot more comfortable in the client rather than editing a config. av98 has a good middle ground there · 1 year ago
@hedy require tofu and client certs. I like the tour feature a lot compared to solving things in tabs. and the reason av98 needs curses is basically because too many capsules need me to scroll up or type less to see the start · 1 year ago
there are plenty of TUI clients, and I'm sure some uses curses. Is there something that you don't like or is missing in them? · 1 year ago
