@skyjake I love Lagrange, personally is one of the elements that makes Gemini so special however there is one aspect that really drives me crazy!

There is this blocking behavior that when your are typing something you can't leave that page, you can't do anything else than just replying.

For the desktop version you may open a second view however when you type something the focus goes on the active window so it does not really solve this issue.

It would be fantastic if typing would belong exclusively to the parent's tab letting the user to freely browsing across all the others tabs.

Can you do anything to improve that behavior

@skyjake I just compiled and read the release note, and now I got a better understanding of what you wrote. Actually is pretty useful the dialog that stores your comment.

Also a lot of useful improvements, thank you very much! · 11 months ago

@skyjake I don't dislike the modal dialog but of course if it was child of the tab would be great.

Why I wrote this just now?

Because the GeminiSpace as improved a lot, everyday there are amazing articles (like the yours) and I started to have tons of tabs open and often I like to share them on Station.

The GeminiSpace has started to be positevely crowded! 😁 · 11 months ago

Also, in v1.11, you can close the input prompt without losing the text, making it easier to check out other things while typing. · 11 months ago

Well, in v1.11 you can at least open a new window for writing input so the other windows won't be affected by the modal dialog.

Other suggested changes include making input prompts appear inline, which would solve a lot of issues. I want to try that out sooner or later.

I suppose it would also help if the prompt dialog was a child of the tab, and not a top-level widget, so one could access the other tabs normally even while one is showing a prompt. This may be the easiest change to implement. · 11 months ago
