Setting up my presence on ctrl-c.club has me thinking about identity. How my family knows different versions of me from my IRL friends, and how pseudonymity means I can experiment with how I want to present myself in safety.
It's weird, having these different versions of me for different contexts. I know it's just a thing people do, but I can't help but wonder if one is more genuine than the other.
Thinking about it, though, this probably just stems from the fact that I find it easier to write than to speak—I have time to say what I want, and to figure out _how_ I want to say it.
Short entry—I meant to write this hours ago, but I figured I could still dredge up some thoughts. And what do you know, I was right!
