All anybody wants in life is to be left alone.

Hey. 🖐

Stranger or friend, it's cool you made it..

Since about 2017, my digital footprint has been shrinking. Some of that is because of mistakes I've made. Some of it is because of the expense of it all. And some of it is because I'm just tired of being sold-to in ways I can't control. Besides: it's a drain maintaining in excess of three domains.

My phones are feature, my photos are printed. Here's some other things I'm OK to share:

Physical audio is my jam. 💽

The convenience of a purely digital, streamed music collection is outweighed (for me) by monthly costs for both service and content. There's a lot of different forms of digital music that work around these limitations, but I'm really rather enjoying polycarbonate, iron oxide and vinyl.

I like the idea of a simple and meaningful web. 🌍

I figure that's why I'm intrigued by Geminispace. Even with modern chipsets, many devices seem to still stutter when rendering the most conceptually simple webpages (SEE: cross-site scripting, ads). Rich and complex web destinations aren't necessarily bad--but the most basic web browsing experiences shouldn't be forgotten.

Computing with limitations is interesting to me. 🧮

Getting the most out of hardware--doing things on the simple and cheap--are the times where I feel most creative and am most charmed by tech. I find cutting-edge hardware and UX to rarely live up to their promises--especially after prolonged usage. I like my gadgets a little left of center (and maybe a few paces behind). The motive isn't to introduce complexity into an otherwise luxurious life, but it's a criticism that isn't wrong.
