About me

I am a physicist in my mid-20s, with a fairly wide range of interests. I don't know what to do with my life yet, but maybe I'll figure it out at some point.

Technology, electronics and computers in particular have been an interest of mine since childhood days, especially the older and more simplistic kind. Still, it took me quite a while to discover gopher and the wonderful community there. Incidentally, I entered gopherspace just shortly before the development of gemini began. Also, Solderpunk was the first phlogger I regularly read, and thus I followed Gemini since its beginning.

Again, it took me quite a while to decide to actively contribute to this wonderful protocol. But now I did, and with the help of the hosting generously provided here at envs.net, I can hopefully give some worthwhile content back.

My gemlog will serve a double purpose: On the one hand, it's content for everyone out there to read. On the other hand, it's like a diary of thoughts and ideas to me. I'll try to make my posts as coherent and informative as possible, both to better understand myself and to not waste your time :)

Thanks to the people here at envs.net!

Thanks to Solderpunk and all others who have contributed to gemini!

Thanks to the free software community for making all of this possible!
