NETWORK Ireland Limerick kicked off its 2023 calendar of events in
style with a presentation from international speaker and motivational
coach Aidan O’Brien.
Over 150 businesswomen from all over Ireland attended the event at the
Savoy Hotel in Limerick city centre which was sponsored by LEO
Limerick.
Newly appointed President Karen Broshanan will be the one to organise
events for the coming year during her reign.
“I’m going to build on what our President of 2022, Emma Wilson, did
which was to introduce the diversity and inclusion element to the
network and sustainability as a core focus for 2023," she told Limerick
Live.
Each event will focus on various topics and showcase women within the
group shining a light on businesses in the area.
“Our February event is healthy body, healthy mind, healthy business but
it's also an opportunity for all our members in health, wellness and
mindfulness space to have an opportunity to up their game and present
their offering, slightly expo style. Everybody in that space will get
an opportunity to speak on the night, all of our members can come and
meet them and hear what it’s all about because I think at the start of
the year we need to be in a good head space and good body space to get
our business in the right place so that’s what the January and February
event is about,” said Karen.

Throughout the year there will be social events, awards nights and
several events featuring keynote speakers.
“We have our Business Woman of the Year Awards in May which is
fantastic. The network is about the members, my whole focus for this
year is to get the members talking to each other more, presenting to
each other and the keynote speakers I bring in are instilling education
and opportunity into the members to help them drive their business, if
they are not business owners, if they are employees, to help them move
their careers forward in the right direction,” added Karen.
Membership of Network Ireland Limerick is made up of a very diverse
group of women from across the Mid-West, from budding entrepreneurs,
SME owners, professionals and leaders in large organisations to non
profits, charities, arts and the public sector.
