Oof, busy few days.
Some family visited, so I gave them a tour of a few places, all of which I've done at one point or another, and know are pretty cute.
Not much to say.
The knife-shaped mountains are cool, and the route is a nice balance of relatively flat sections and steeper, cable guided ones.
Instead of hiking from Wasserauen to Ebenalp, we took the cable car up, then hiked to Saentis proper.
Absolutely worth it, saves a couple hours and tons of effort which didn't have much of a view anyways.
We followed the Mountain View Trail from Lauterbrunnen to Muerren, then hit Trummelbachfaelle.
The hike was easy, maybe even a little boring from a technical perspective, but the view of the Jungfrau and Monch (the Eiger was hidden in clouds) was gorgeous.
I had last done Lauterbrunnen 4 years ago, and Saentis a year ago; I didn't finish Chaiserstock last week because of bad weather in contrast, and since conditions were supposed to be dry, I figured I'd show them something a bit more involving.
The cable and chain section near the top (T4+) was a ton of fun and was easily the best part of the three days for me, and also acts as a go-ahead to try more difficult routes which don't involve specific equipment like crampons.
