IIgs conversion in a IIe case

What's wrong with these pictures? It says IIgs on a IIe. Apple made a FEW (about
750 total) of these machines with the all-in-one case of the IIe. Functionally
it's the standard IIgs inside. Shown in this folder and contained within the
'GSConv.SHK' archive are three color graphics (in both jpeg and gif format) with
Apple High Res RGB monitor, and external 3.5 (800k) disk drive, as well as a
close-up of the top left keyboard and inserted IIgs logo.

The GSConv.SHK also contains all three graphics converted to IIgs SHR format
(in the specific Paint 816 SHR format reduced to 320 size).

It isn't a factory unit per se -- it's a regular IIe that has had a IIGS upgrade
kit installed; which included a ROM 01 motherboard and custom IIe e metal base
bottom plate or pan, plus a nifty IIGS logo sticker. All the Apple technition did
was pop out the IIe logo and stick the IIGS one in. The upgrade was $500 way back
when and upgraded either the beige or platinum IIe -- the only difference in the
kits being the color of the bottom plate or pan. No sticker was offered to replace
the IIe logo on the platinum cases.

The units are not common because most people who wanted a IIGS just went ahead
and bought an entire unit. The GS upgrade appealed to those on limited budgets
who wanted to upgrade piecemeal and of course, it also allowed school districts
to upgrade without justifying new computer purchase requests.

I have one of these conversions without the stickers or case. It's simply a IIgs
motherboard ROM 01 attached to the metal bottom plate or IIe pan, with a custom
backplate like the standard IIgs has only it's also metal.
