ProSEL and ProSEL 16 Year 2000 Updates: April 1999.

ProSEL 16 is available two ways, a full distribution disk version of the final
version 8.84 with the Y2K fix applied, ready to go and just the start file (the
main ProSEL 16 application) with the fix applied. The version # of this ProSEL
16 is 8.84 Y2K to denote the Y2K problems have been corrected.

The ProSEL 8 update is just a replacement Mr. Fixit, the final version, 4.5
with the Y2K correction. This version is noted as Ver. 4.5 Y2K and is indicated
on the splash screen.

The archives are as follows:

                        for ProSEL 8

prosel16y2k.sdk    <--- ProSEL 16 8.84 Y2K Distribution Disk. Complete.

The ProSEL 16 8.84 Y2K Fix corrects problems with the Volume Repair and Find
File functions. ProSEL 8 4.0 has a similar problem with Mr. Fixit which is
covered by Mr. Fixit 4.5 Y2K.

September 1999 will end 10 years that Charlie's AppleSeeds has published and

sold ProSel and ProSel-16 for Glen Bredon. Demand for things Apple II is almost
nonexistent and for that reason, I asked for and was granted, by E-mail,
permission to announce that ProSel and ProSel-16 will be moved to the Public
Domain. (See Glen Bredon's message below) 

Upgrades by disk and new copies by disk will be $10, regardless whether it is
ProSel 8 or ProSel-16. This will cover my costs for materials, time and effort
and postage.

A copy of the manual will be $13. Book and ProSel-16 disk, $23. Postage is
included in all prices. I will split whatever net I get from this, with Bredon,
as usual.

      To confirm our phone conversation: I give my permission to place ProSel 8
and ProSel 16 in public domain.

      In case anyone asks, however, I will not supply source code. It is just a
simple matter that access to the old files is problematic - the GS was getting
very touchy before I retired it from my desk. Also, it would just be too much
of a bother to get things together.

      I am now doing mostly photography on my pretty new PowerMac G3.�� I even
have a web site containing a bunch of my photos (see below).
