lynx is a nice browser. it has bookmark folders. you script it to kickstart searches from the command line. you can get it to open links with an external progam if necassary. it's not really hard to navigate. most pages look fine and work well. you can have tabbed windows with i3. but it doesn't have the same ecosystem for power users. so sad. but also i think it's design benefits simple use. ie: you have one question -> research answer (in ONE window). not as good at gathering contextual information.

Yes. I still use it occassionally for grabbing links, e.g., generate list of links to dr. who tv shows 'lynx --listonly --dump "https://archive.org/details/doctorwhocomplete" | grep mp4' · 2 years ago
