Uprising

Like a storm gathering strength,

the call for justice

and equality reverberates

through the masses.

Enlivening.

Inspiring.

What was once a whisper

soon becomes a roar.

A vehement declaration against this pervasive

stale state forced upon us.

The illusion, of the meek and feeble

slowly loses its grasp

in the mind of mankind, setting

like a dying sun that’s lost its luster.

Armed with only a dream to escape

the oppressive weight of your thumb –your ever watchful eye– we

push onwards towards the inevitable clash

against your seemingly dominant stance.

Submissive…

No More.
