I don't really understand why people say 'I've been working like a dog' when they mean to have been working hard... Actually dogs do not work, do they? Anyway, I've been working like a dog, and now I'll be sleeping like a log. :D

Some dogs are more useful than others, it depends on breed and training. As the great Ron Swanson once said "Any dog under 10 pounds is a cat, and cats are pointless" So yeah a pug with 30 genetic defects and breathing problems isnt gonna be getting much done besides eating and sleeping, but a trained hound can help with hunting and herding · 11 months ago

As a dog owner, I must comment here that dogs do herding on farms, pull sleds, help with hunting, detect things by smell e.g. at airports, and guard property, among other jobs. 🐶

Of course, dogs also sleep like 12 hours a day, so... 🙂 · 11 months ago
