This is a wordlog for the SpellBinding puzzle (in which you construct words using the specified letters; each word must contain the anchor letter).
Yesterday's words:
ELOPE EPEE EPOPEE FEEL FELL FLEE FLOE FLUE FUEL HEEL HELL HELLHOLE HELLO HELP HELPFUL HOLE HOPE HOPEFUL HOPPLE LOOPHOLE LOPE LOUPE OLEO PEEL PEEP PEEPHOLE PELL PEOPLE PEPFUL POLE POPE POUFFE PULE
Pangrams: HOPEFUL
#JB asks about the word HOPS in a previous puzzle. Isn't it plural? Kind of. Like SCISSORS, HOPS is used in its plural form to denote a thing or an idea; a plant used in brewing beer in this case. The New York Times puzzle took the easy way out and just eliminated S - kind of clever actually; I allow -S endings in exceptional situations like these.
Yesterday's puzzle had three holes: HELLHOLLE, LOOPHOLE and PEEPHOLE.
EPOPEE (n) An epic or epic poetry
