I'd love to know a few things about the community here. All couple of you.

- What are your feelings as to the state of the World?

- Do you subscribe to any canned idiology about it?

- What can theoretically be done with Gemini to help with your cause?

Some of you may remember the internet before it was cool. And it was so cool. If you haven't seen Hackers… it was nothing like that. I love that movie though.

@kirbo - We will still require a solid and censorship-resistant format for publishing Essays Gemini . Perhaps even actively resistant . The only way to truly stay the loving embrace of the NSA and other major controls is by not ever altering toward things like images and publishing . We can preserve this medium . · 2 years ago

@kirbo - I like the cut of your idiological jib . The cause for limiting to Gemini is that nobody is going to bother with censorship on a large geopolitical scale . Nobody is going to really work on bringing advertising and monetizing to the protocol ; they are bound hopelessly to http . I believe that we do not need to reach the many , but only a wide smattering of people present and there , in disparate places . Here , the tragedy of the masses does not interfere with constructive discussion and organization . · 2 years ago

Last point: If I wanted to spread idea's why would i limit my audience to gemini? On the other hand, I prefer it to the modern web so i'll prob just vent my fustrations and use it to discuss things I do / come across · 2 years ago

For my canned idiology, I find that democracy is lacking, see Luke Smith's "Democracy: Rule of the NPCs", It brings up the miricle of aggregation and brings up a flaw in the modern system. However many of the other approches have fallen flat. · 2 years ago

3/? - Mass Fishing has cause many issues with peoples ability to get important fish oils, not just this but the laws around river fishing has meant that in the UK, it is extremely difficult to procure fish that contain little plastic. · 2 years ago

I tried a previous reply but it was too long, so I'll split it into multiple parts. Modernity has failed us. We are working longer weeks despite the constant "Technology will make you work less" the amount of hours worked has skyrocketed. · 2 years ago
