Welcome, readers old and new, to the latest incarnation of The Backroad to
Civilization! Started as a gophersite in the early 2010s as a form of
protest against commercial blogging platforms, the Backroad enjoyed a
reasonably successful, decade-long life... until 2021 when I decided,
right or wrong, that everything should have a lifespan and deleted the
entire thing.
I don't particularily miss the old content, however I *do* miss abusing
the internet as a publishing medium. With that in mind, I've rekindled
the old gophersite and added this new capsule counterpart in Gemspace.
As for *new* content, look for daily(!) gemlog updates and the occasional
tidbit about my tabletop RPG campaigns or (rarer still) computer projects.
I look forward to engaging with readers!
