This is a gemlog for the SpellBinding puzzle, in which you construct words using the specified letters (each word must contain the anchor letter).
CHEER CHEERER CHEQUE CHEQUER CRECHE CUER CURE CURER EXCHEQUER EXEC HERE HEXER QUEER QUEERER QUEUE QUEUEER QUEUER RECUR EUCHRE RECHERCHE ECRU
Pangrams: EXCHEQUER: treasury, funds, British dept. of treasury (sometimes capitalized).
Today is an odd day. Several words of this already small -- especially for an anchor 'E' -- puzzle were marked for removal. I have less time to curate the puzzles; wordo is running by itself with random words (I am waiting for a duplicate to come up), and SpellBinding still requires futzing around. I generate a month's worth of puzzles and give them a quick look-see, resulting in many words being added. The dictionary I started with is quite sloppy, and I am still fishing out bad words. As you can see, towards the end I get more careless...
CHEQUE, CHEQUER: British spellings of check and cheker... removed!
CRECHE: A nativity scene; day hospital; a foundling hospital; a group of young animals under protection of one or more adults.
CUER: I have a typo I suppose.removed.
QUEUEER: Another typo. removed.
EUCHRE: a card game.
RECHERCHE: exquisite, exotic; excessively refined; pretentious, overblown.
ECRU: (n or adj) kind of beige.
Another day.
