Day 2 Natsu 2021

Lets see if today is more of the same or if some ring rust has been
bashed out. The winning moves seem more varied today with some faces
hitting the clay as well as push outs.

Kotoeko just could not shift Akiseyama (mr melty) today. Akiseyama
hit the rope but somehow rallied on and was just an unmoveable wall.

Terutsuyoshi was shoved out quickly by Chiyoshoma, regardless of the
effort the little salt chucker put in. Poor Terutsuyoshi. I do
favour the smaller rikishi.

Endo and Kagayaki had a bit of a close run with Endo being pushed out.
His foot hit the rope but Kagayaki fell out and hit the ground first.
The gyoji (referee) called it for Kagayaki but the mono-ii declared
that the gyoji verdict did not stand. A lucky Endo!

Tochinoshin and Tsurugisho decided to have a lengthy hug with both
having hands on the other's belt. However, Tochinoshin managed to lift
 Tsurugisho out.

Ichinojo proved that the snorlax was awake and after a hug. Takarafuji
managed to get a hand on Ichinojo's belt, get in for that hug and then
have an endurance competition. Takarafuji managed to get Ichinojo up
to the rope but was surprised by Ichinojo forcing him to the ground.

Onosho beat Myogiryu through some good side stepping action. They
engaged after the tachiai but Onosho stepped to the side and Myogiryu
just needed a slight pull to hit the clay.

Takayasu and Chiyonokuni had a playground slap fight until Chiyonokuni
seemed to just fall.

Tobizaru managed to defeat Takanosho and yet still went flying out of
the ring. He loves the run it seems.

Meisei managed to cause some Ozeki upset. Some quick swaps at the rope
and a push sent Asanoyama out.

Terunofuji managed another win through some brutal thrusting and
slapping. Hokutofuji tried hard but did a spin which ultimately
enabled Terunofuji to thrust him out of the ring.

Shodai was dominated by Wakatakakage. It went to a mono-ii but the
gyoji's verdict stood meaning Wakatakakage won.

Takakeisho took a nasty tumble at Mitakeumi's doing. He managed to land
chest first on the corner of the
ring and then fall sideways off.

So a varied day with some exciting matches!
