I noticed first when people died, a gesture of the hand and eye
their cresting in between the sheets a sympathetic weaving
how in turn their fabrication bred slow to memory
becoming slow a part of me
I processed next where entropy gave way to loving grace
their stature in a place blessed cleanly almost fired
how cherry blossom festival fled drifts of softest down
parsed waves upon hand wrought crown
finally I laid in place their bones, knight to squire long turned page
engaging in that momentary apse script prayers forever turning
how now complete their gardens bloom a catalogue of proses
where shouldering word composes
