you are never ready for the burn
for the tablet with the prose stating third will come the churn
for the cat between the borders of the garden and the hall
for the wall, for the door, for the never fucking more
shall we stand for the poison in the oaken hollow gall
shall we bend for the treason in this thrice-be-gods-damned hall
shall we spread for the comers in the ever-present war
who have taken without asking and swore they ��d had the right
who have slaken on our hollow hills and swore we had the gall
who have bent and broken brought before, and after laid to rest
upon the savior ��s breast, where whore and liar blessed
upon the altar of the rest, where chore and trial test
upon the field of the battle we were told we couldn ��t wrest
from thine enemies begun upon the water and the sun
from thy desire in the fire and the suicidal run
from the place between our cinders where the howling anger growls
for the cat who ��s broken silence
shall we take no more this boor
who nameless told us swallow
upon the stainless floor
from whom we steal every blade
you were not ready then
you are no more readied now
burn those unready who stalk our hills
never are you sweeter than the moment of the kill
