the ghost at my door unrolled a spear from soft oiled leather
spread its circle on the ground, rested shaft across the cusp ��s resistance
filled it up, circle, shaft, spear, with memories, all hair turned in
in silence, around the circle it wrote clean black script, dead languages encrypted
a heart-shorn threading slowly lifting old blood from granite foundation, slate lintel
in every tongue, not less of this, not more of that, but what intends no harm
welcome
winding round the old scents of beeswax and tannery, rinsed clean of urine
not taken all the way light, just a wanderer perambulating a gradient, acceleration and lime
cruft of well-care and time smoothed in, requesting politely, not barging in
so, tongue of my own, licking in ink and memetic wandering, laying out rice paper
one sheet without, one within, aligned to stone, to spear, neither less nor more by type
linking invitation, hair in to out, memory skinned, a territory measured inclination
