An Ode To The Evers
March 28, 2021
when y ��all said shipping
I was new to the scene
lost in conceptual transport schemes
Jim Kirk and Spock
the ducks in the seas
well oiled, perhaps
and hard on the trees
but clearly the wonder of transport bequeaths
the delight of ship-shipping
for birds and for bees
with some ducks still afloat
no longer well laden ��
Ever Laurel lost quarrel
with grievous heaves
now Evergreen to be spoken
with hushed utter awe
Suez titillated
whose well broken law
with leaves well awoken
predicting so raw
ship-shipping revision
Ever Given to draw
a scribbled devotion on surface release
dictation summation, I do as I please
dynamic conclusion
any port in a storm
economy ��s downturn
lovelorn and digging
somewhere a duck
