Costume Face
August 28, 2021
one poor year in uni, Halloween rolled round
and lacking paint, and lacking fear, borrowed young punk frolic gear
dog collar and leash, and the young punk what came with
costume like this
neutral face
work clothes, young punk holding leash
maintain gentle tension to end of strand
focus, there, thousand yards through
twenty minutes later
costume retired
because no-one stood before the tension line
because people flinched and broke things
because when that focus touched someone
even for testing purposes
bad, bad things
humans, pursuit predators
recognize that comfortable slow neutral
that just won ��t care �� and seeing it restrained
break upon the possibility of drop
if in the path of release direction
and having broken
glamorize the hunter
they hold in heart
