Peanut Butter

trading art goes strangely at times
often in unfortunate directions
you know the drill, exposure, too expensive
why aren ��t you naked, models are naked
daily driving folks out of joy
dry boring-arses on user-repeat
hoping for advantage if you ��re lucky
or control, if you find one of those humans
extra nasty
but sometimes the trade goes weirdly well
art for, ��hey, just look at this picture of office stuff
my co-worker died, and anything you want
I ��ll ship out as soon as I can find the boxes ��
which picture shows the comfiest chair I ��ve ever seen
and, ��are you sure, because that chair looks fine ��
oh, ��the Peanut Butter memorial cat chair
extra specific, want to see someone who loves cats gets that
because my co-worker was, you see
both cat and office manager ��
so an ode to the cat I never met
patron saint of office napping
in the work from home department
of sacking out on keyboards
and snacking on those things delightful
paper trails, mouse tails, and keyboard cords
who, after six long months, putting in hours
got their own computer tower, a monitor
always to show the weather ��s interesting tantrums
and one of those cheap programs for pets
screen-saving motion driving cuteness
one would expect a kitten to play with
if not an elder dignitary
who, as tribute to their service
got their very own racing chair
massage pillow and all
passing away in comfort three paces distant
on the lap of their human, still supervising
thus, to my home, a balance to art-trade doom
I have acquired the Peanut Butter memorial cat chair
a thing of glorious comfort and no small vibration
to which the calico doom fluff has taken great liking
understanding perhaps, that all the best of cats
have contoured thrones, settling down for the morning coffee
testing posture adjustment features in a chair
now clearly labeled Peanut Butter
