somewhere a kid ��s still stuck to the flag pole
or this year a slide, something slithering inside
all alone across the mantlepiece, little globe edges
reflecting just enough to be visible at the end
concave makes it bigger, how that moment of resistance
where a double dog dare never sifted in
becomes complicit to the stillness of ever was
of ever has been, frosted child rifting as shakes begin
earthquake dropping cuckoo clock, lifting snowfall
stilled self-captured snowball stealth in merriment
season of lenten thunder giving up short for spring days
maple below invisible tilting, hefting light just so
beginning at beginnings, eyes on own bigger eyes, intact
not giving up for, but giving towards, and towards
salvation out of quantum lock, stormfull erosion now
and drop
somewhere, a kid ��s just got up, taken off unfitting glasses
laid about in it-was-always their tower, grabbing seeing
Little Red Rider ��s Hood, wizard three floors up
buried under books, and kid ��s writing Cup runs fathomless
full up, finger clear of guard, precise
someone ��s getting an eye put out
six hundred wolves on
