if I close my eyes
my skin still drinks your bones
and with them open wide
my mane remains your home
with you by my side
oh the palaces we ��ve roamed
astride and long unblinking
marble halls, and teak, and tomes
if I scan my gaze
a library remains
where I might rest for days
uptaking and uptaken
no parsimony set to quiver
out along the river
no pageant to deliver
one sliver all remaking
if I find your bones
where long I ��ve dreamed they ��ve been
and with them beat a drone
my water take you in
if we be born again
in shallows, noses clear
then still I ��ll hold you dear
ever, ever under
