Dick Tracy vs. Cueball

1946

3/5

None of the Dick Tracy movies are necessarily great, but they're still fun to watch. This time Tracy is after a villain named Cueball who's involved in some diamond theft (from a man named Jules Sparkle... yeah, good one). He also happens to kill some people along the way, which is what puts him on Tracy's radar. Unfortunately, as often happens, Tracy never nabs the guy, but he ends up dying in the end because he gets stuck on the train tracks and run over by the train.

It's a pretty fun detective romp, with some espionage from Tess and Vitamin, and Pat getting hit on the head a lot. The guy playing Cueball looked sufficiently big and imposing, and played a very convincing villain. Again, it's nothing amazing, but I'd still recommend it (you could do far worse).
