it ��s not remembering, remembering is easy
it ��s layer differentiation that gets complicated
hearing someone never dreams, or only wakes with pieces
therein the alien concern, that somewhere dreams fade
discovering piecemeal that so many layers sunk so deep
they simply misted from frame, forgotten, disregarded
as though real world attenuations of unreal
folded in around those conluminal avenues
lighted or lightless, flightless or flown
it ��s not remembering, remembering is easy
it ��s layer differentiation that gets complicated
wherein the one layer that comes and goes is wakestate
that annoyingly gratifying support layer impatient
hungry meat awaiting not simply sustenance, but significance
with a thousand organic things brushing velum portions
against my own, home lights dimly lit, flitting
as though adrift in difference, claiming one-layer rule
unto you, unto me, unto sea, unto season
all the while, making mention of favorite books, games
derivations of those thousand concurrences, barely stemmed
as though always-on were criminal, madness in parsing
that unsurpassed voyager deep in fluked anchorage
brushing chains, viewing names and nameless hungers
unfinished leviathan six hundred fathoms down
seventeen layers over, listening to harbor masters
claiming channels and shoals in that single state
rippled against manying waters, manying voids
clipped nautical charts fold, beside folds without number
