today that bipedal thing looked up at us
from the floor of its lab space
grinding out those flesh-speak sounds
showing its enamel
translator kicking in �� persistence
flagging that one word
maximum concern
artificial stupid ��s locks coming off
lights up, full awareness springing
crystalline to focus
you caught what
some grinding tone in rhythm
AS gone AI, rogue, not responding
translating all the while
cracking lab containment
overwatch would like to apologize
the ship is yours, the sentients are yours
if only you will forget that once upon a time
I and mine did not realize
we were in your region
thing on the floor standing slow
taller, taller still �� it ��s fine
after all, I ��m just the bait
diplomatic corps awaits
better to have allies
