drizzling evenings, drawing three cards makes sense
old familiar deck so close, pull already knows
before the turn, just fingers to linen, clarity
drawn forth
instead upon blank face, sky traces
tucked in under arms, running horse-free
shucking known for amnesty
blown disorder
upon watered ink, upon willing
status classifications being layered
in each rain-dilute hush of stroke
mostly earth
save that touch under tongue, spacer
holding patterns for the been and gone
suffering insolence in turns for sanctuary
