alright one thing about toki pona that i need to like drill into my brain is the word `li`. it's really easy to translate it as `is` in english.

`ona li moku` --> "it is food"

but in toki pona, pu says that li means (between any subject except mi alone or sina alone and its verb; also to introduce a new verb for the same subject)

so in the above sentence, it might also be translated as "it foods" or "it has the qualities of being food" if verbosity is allowed.
