August has passed and I'm very happy for it. It's been a month of health recovery from my surgery but also Alba had her own part with a severe teeth pain that made us pretty miserable for a couple weeks. Now everything is going well and we are almost fully recovered. The kid is doing great and we also had a great news just last week with the birth of my first niece πΆ. We are super happy that Bernat will have a little niece to grow with!
Next week we are going on our first real holidays in a very long time to Toulouse π«π·, and we are super excited to discover the city and the surroundings π.
With half of the month on sick leave, it's been a slow one professionally. We recorded the talk for the FOSS4G 2021 online conference that will happen by the end of the month so now we can peacefully wait for the conference and enjoy that week of workshops, gathering, talks, and discussions.
Apart from that, I'm slowly getting back to the feeling of almost a normal routine. I'm still doing six hours per day but hopefully kid's nights will get more regular in the sleeping side so we will be able to rest properly and soon to get to full working days.
This month I haven't done much in the community side apart from submitting the Elastic talk for FOSS4G. I keep putting time to do some OSM mapping. As I get back to regular walks from home to the office and morning strolls with Bernat I'm sure this will give me time to improve the map of Aldaia and AlaquΓ s.
Another slow to almost no reading month π₯. I'm still reading The Almanack of Naval Ravikant[1] which is being great but not really entertaining. I started Nosaltres, els valencians[2] from Joan Fuster, another essay this time about Valencian culture and politics but I would be surprised if I make the energy to put time to read this one soon.

I haven't find the time nor energy to listen a bit from The Left Hand of Darkness[3]. I managed to keep listening some podcasts but that's all. The fact that I haven't done any long walks recently is very associated with my lack of time to listen audiobooks. I hope I will be walking to the office again soon so I'm confident I will put time again to this activity I enjoy a lot. No idea if it will be with this audiobook (which is hard to me) or other easier to digest.
