Two gemlog posts in two days?! Much wow! Photos at bottom of post.
Today I had a few different reasons for venturing out. We only had enough food left at the house for the kids to eat lunch so I needed to pick something up for myself to eat while we were out. That's not entirely true but we didn't have anything else *easy* to make and I didn't feel like making something that took much time or effort :-P. So I picked up a pita to go and then we found a nice shady spot under a tree to park and eat. The kids entertained themselves running up and down a hill and looking at wildlife in the lake.
In a little less than a week it will be my oldest child's first ever day of school. AHHHH! So we tested out a route to get there on the ebike. The route was ok and I may test it out again early in the morning since that is when we will be making the trip. On our way back towards our neighborhood I stopped to drop off a piece of mail at a collection box. It was a really nice afternoon of being outside and seeing some different parts of our town. The kids and I both really love getting around on the ebike. Can you imagine being stuck in a huge steel cage everytime you needed to go somewhere? Haha, I joke but I really truly enjoy myself about 1000x more getting around on a bike or ebike than I do driving an automobile. Moving to this town and neighborhood where this is possible is one of the best decisions we've made in a while. I'm loving it.
Photos from our day out and about:
Ebike and trailer parked by some steps right at the lake's edge
Low angle photo of ebike with some stone arches, a building and some palm trees in the background
Ebike on the path above the lake
Ebike parked in the grass under the shade of a large tree, lake in the background
A big stone arch with some nice details
A bird standing and looking out at the water, some type of heron I think?
