I had never heard of this band before.
It sounds like, and to all appearances is in fact, music made by people who were young in the late 1970s and early 1980s. I was only born in 1988, so I suspect these sounds evoke something a bit different for me than for the members of the band. Namely, the music of shopping malls and drive-time FM radio, when both were in full flower.
The band produces this effect with a combination of workmanlike backbeats, reverb soaked guitar timbres that U2's slash would approve of, and FM synth pads (think: Yamaha DX7 presets).
Recommended if you feel prematurely aged after a long pandemic. Recommended if you want to ponder the beginning of the "end of history" from the vantage point of the end of the "end of history".
now time surrounds me like an ocean my memories like waves is life just dying in slow motion? i'm gettin' stronger every day i never took our love for granted you never left me wanting more would you even recognize me babe? i don't live here anymore
