I suggest a convention when replying to pages - I'll introduce the idea here, but it doesn't matter what the first paragraph contains, or even if there's an introductory paragraph at all, just so long as...
The first link in the page refers to the thing you reply to, like with the link below:
Foobaz - Micrologs Sep 2020 (Social Dilemma, interesting further comments)
I go on to say that I was pleased that Foobaz took time to comment on this film, since I feel it's the best attempt yet to lay bare the opaque world of commercial surveillance and emotional manipulation, to people who would otherwise be largely unaware - most of us were far too trusting, and unfortunately most still are.
So beyond the link, the reply remains just like any gemtext page. I don't think we need anything more - just so long as the first link on the page refers back to the source being discussed, we can follow threads easily, and we can find relationships between pages, much like GUS backlinks, but with a little more semantic understanding.
Starting the title with 'Re: ' helps quickly identify the post as a reply. The subsequent text need not be the original title, creative wording often works better. But simply knowing it's a reply conveys extra depth to the content. It works well elsewhere, and I think it's a tradition worth preserving.
