Happy New Earth Year!
The development team has started it with a big upgrade. Sequel App has been migrated from Sapper to SvelteKit 🚀
It enables the team to start working on new, bigger features planned for 2023.
The release also includes several bug fixes, including:
We celebrate the International NFT Day by presenting Reflections, an NFT release by Sarah Rogers.
Creating art for me is a part of my spiritual expression. Having a piece of my art really will be connecting with the freest part of who I am as a yogini. With no specific genre or style every piece of art is created from being in complete joy & bliss..., and I want you to have the same when seeing them.
Enjoy
Much ❤️
Sarah Rogers
NOTE: 20% of the initial sale proceeds will be donated to Kent Wildlife Trust. The evidence of donation will be made publicly available via IFPS on Sequel ledger.
We celebrate the launch of Sequel's Digital Art NFT platform by offering a unique set of eight avatars and eight background images in our Inception17 release. Sequel residents will be able to use these tokens for their sparks and bubbles. We also offer a single celebratory image called 'Enter the Metaverse'.
NOTE: 90% of the proceeds from the initial sale of these tokens will be donated to Irish Wildlife Trust. The evidence of donation will be made publicly available via IFPS on Sequel ledger.
Sequel wouldn't make it to production without support of our developers, designers, marketers and, of course, early adopters.
As we are preparing for the first public NFT release, we would like say big thanks to the team by offering celebratory series of NFTs to all the contributors.
You will see the newly minted NFTs appearing in the History section of Sequel Marketplace in the coming weeks. It's unlikely these NFTs will appear on the secondary market, but keep an eye on it!
After a long 10 months wait, we are delighted to announce that our Flow contracts are live. You may find the source code on GitHub.
Our first area of interest is Digital Art. With Digital Art tokens, you will be able to find a suitable avatar and header for your spark on Sequel Marketplace and attach tokenised images to your posts. You will soon be able to turn your own avatars and post art into tokens, and offer it on the Marketplace.
While Sequel is all about imaginary worlds, we see NFTs as a gateway to reality. We have more great ideas on how to make it meaningful and engaging. Stay tuned.
We have released a new explainer video produced by Fearless Media, an innovative Irish media agency.
Thomas Arnold did an excellent job capturing our vision and values. While we are busy working on the Sequel's NFT marketplace,
please watch the video and tell us what you think.
It's an amazing day for Sequel as we have officially moved our platform from Alpha to Beta status. The tech team has wiped the systems clean from testing data, and everything that our users add is here to stay forever, thanks to the power of The Ledger.
We will start giving our app to the users, starting with friends and colleagues who had been supporting us through the journey. If you are reading this, then you are a friend too (everyone in Geminispace is). Drop us a line to get the registration code for early access.
Our new mobile/web app is available for alpha testers. It was so much fun building it that we decided to skip a few development milestone and go straight for a fully-featured app.
We have launched an official landing page for Sequel. Check it out!
Our Gemini capsule and ActivityPub API are live.
