JFW is a slimmed down version of J Release 2 for Windows, but includes
full copies of the documentation ("Introduction and Dictionary" and the
"J User Manual") in Windows Help file format.

JFW does not include some features required for application development.
It does not have DDE, OLE, ODBC, or DLL interfaces, it does not provide
a visual form editor, there is no component file system, and there is no
facility for packaging an application as a Windows setup for redistribution.
Graph VBX is the only VBX control supported. JFW runs significantly slower
than the commercial versions. JFW does not use the math coprocessor.

J versions are available that have the features required for application
development. J is available on a wide variety of platforms.

A J FAQ and other material is available by ftp from watserv1.waterloo.edu
