inside a skull under paris
how it never loses its page
in a book even when closing
it shut crack the pine door
to create a stack of skinnier
doors so that we can populate
this living room with escapes
i keep my tornado fed by
opening the scalp and
dropping in toy figurines
of farm animals and people
proper tornado care states
that a heartstring be strung
on a black violin near the
left eye socket to lull
the tornado to sleep
i wonder how long such suffering must last
