Re: I don't want to be an American

Today, in browsing through gemini posts, I ran accross one which mentioned graffiti they had seen saying, "We are not American." At the end of the post, they stated, "I don't want to be an American."

After reading this, I had the following thoughts:

If we don't like greed, how willing are we to be the opposite and give to those who have less then we do?
If we don't like the big corporations, how willing are we to stop buying from/supporting the big corporations and go to the small shops owned and operated by private people?
How willing are we to get up from our keyboards and go to the people that are hurting or struggling to offer our help?
Is the way that we live everyday the example we want to set for our children to lookup to?

America is what we make it.
